Au Revoir - Joseph Gallieni is a film documenting the removal of Gallieni statue on the Place Vauban in Paris, France. Army General Gallieni was an important figure of the French colonisation, particularly in Madagascar, although his role is little known. This action, which has never taken place on any statue in France, is in fact fictional. The artist imagined this video, in collaboration with the activist Françoise Vergès and the journalist Pablo Pillaud-Vivien, as a video of anticipation in order to start a debate about celebratory monuments.
