O Outro, Eu & os Outros (The Other, Me & the Others) is a collective seesaw that highlights the re-
lationships and bonds we have with others. To activate this monumental work, visitors are invited to
stand on a long platform that swings according to their numbers and movements. The installation
underlines the interconnection between individuals within society, formalising these links in space.
Iván Argote frequently questions and reinterprets public monuments, those elements of a shared
narrative that consolidate historical figures and events.
Here, he proposes an alternative by transforming the public space into a playground open to all: a
place for meet.
